Guys, here is a video I think all of you would enjoy. If you recall, some time ago I was crowing about how awesome this Mac laptop is. It's powerful! Anyways, I've been playing with the video editor and this is what I have. Hope y'all enjoy!
Me and my son took the kayaks out one after noon on the South side of Lake P. under the HWY 11 Bridge, (May 7th), we did OK, was slow and most fish were to small, however I did manage to catch a big Red, it was fun to fight him away from the bridge for about 20 min, my son did get a legal one too but not as big as Dads, LOL. I have heard that the bite is real good right now with specks, flounder.... Read More
Great to be back in the water today! Woke up to 20 mph winds this morning thinking it would be a tough day? Launched the Blue Wave and idled up to Jug's landing at 5 am to find my crew there early and ready! Mr. Wayne Forrestor and his son in law Steven Louque jumped on board and off we went.
At our first stop we found trout ready to jump in the Yeti. It wasn't a fast and furious bite but good.... Read More
A few days ago I was motoring across Breton Sound and came across a horrible sight... Thousands of big mature redfish flying dead on the surface. They went on for miles and miles. I know anyone out there recently can confirm this. I took pictures and video. The fish were stacked up in a rip line with 'pogie foam'. That nasty brown foam that is a byproduct of pogie ships harvesting. The.... Read More

We ended with 33 fish total by 10am at to leave so I can get home to watch mt girls while the wife went to work
Onboard today we had Jimmie, Eddie and James(JT)and we headed to Grand Isle. One stop is all it took to find the trout as they were hungry and biting like crazy.
We were fishing live shrimp under a popping cork and also using tandem rigs with the Matrix shad Lemon Drop. The doggone porpoises moved in and we had a challenge on our hands trying to get them in before they caught our.... Read More
David Stark with Bent Marine joined me to go scouting for some big trout.
We loaded up with live shrimp from Terry's Live Bait and headed to West Timbalier. We found pretty green water but very few trout. The ones we did catch were real nice though.
Headed to East Timbalier and found green water again but not trout and a bunch of spanish mackerel. Didn't have a charter until Saturday so I.... Read More

I'm going fishing Saturday morning and can't decide where to try. I want to learn Delacroix, but I am wondering if this is an area I need to go with someone who is familiar before I go on my own. Is it fairly easy to navigate? Anything I should be wary of (obstructions, shallow areas, etc.)? I will be fishing out of a 1546 xpress semi-v. My other options are Hopedale or Bayou Bienvenue. These.... Read More
I read The Tri Parish Times, The Gazette, and The Comet on line. All in my opinion are great newspapers. In the jeer section of Saturdays on line edition of the comet. I felt legitimate questions were raised along, with several inaccuracies.
I would like at this time to answer those questions and correct the mistakes.

I feel like I'm being ripped off by my own state! I got a ticket in the mail today from Geauxtrash saying that I didn't pay a toll on 9/16/2011. Well, I remember that trip as it was the first trip in my new Gaudet and can remember stopping by the office in Golden Meadow to pay the toll, I remember a gentleman there looking at my new boat. Why are they doing this, has anyone else had.... Read More
Spawning trout starting to move in. We made a couple of trips this past week. Didn't catch any limits, but had a nice mess of fish each day. Almost every fish was female. Caught all on plastic (chartreuse sparkle cocohoe). We actually lost twice as much. Fish are soft biting. Good luck to all.
haven't been home(south Louisiana, a.k.a. God's country) in month's. Finally, headed that way. Can anyone tell me where the sac-a-lait are hittin? I was thinkin of hittin up Bayou Catabla, possibly the Gremit, or Big Alabamba.......
