I'm from around there and catch a few bass on occasion but Isaac did a number on the fish there . Where is the tournament being held out of and what date is the tournament ? Is it early march ?

The tourney is out of the manchac boat launch and it is march 23

Oh ok .. I would definitely prefish it . There may be a few still spawning . You could try up above hwy 22 bridge in and around the neighborhood canals . I think one is called river pines and there are a few more further up on the left .

Also up blood river around Carter's plantation and lizard creek . They usually spawn up in those areas .

Some of those guys run to tangipahoa river , madisonville and even Delacroix , depending on the money .

But that would be a few places where I would start out at . Good luck !

I live near the tick fall and for the last two years have done pretty good there but since the storm I have fished 6 times and have not caught 1 bass. I know the tick fall real good and the blood, if you find fish there your the man ! run to manche or further east and you'll have better luck !

Spent the weekend out there and saw mullet..caught a few bream so thats a good sign, and as u saw from my earlier post the catfish were still there but they are pretty hardy..I saw no shad, and tried to do a lil bass fishing and did not get a bite.. The kill was pretty hard on them. I'm not saying they arent there but pickins are slim, I too would try to head further east..

Ruddock, north pass area producing numbers but no size
