Need Opinions
Looking at getting a larger boat. Most of the boats I am looking at have inboard engines either gas or diesel. I am leaning more toward the diesel. I am wondering what kind of yearly maintenance besides oil and filter changes need to be done of these types of engines to keep them in good running condition? Also I fish out of Cypremort Point so I am also curious if anyone knows anyone around the area that services these engines especially the diesel engines. Yanmar is the name brand of the diesel engines that I am looking at. Any opinions are welcome I would like to know all the pro's and cons about this.

Yanmars are good. If your gonna have inboard engines in a big boat, they better be diesels. My buddy in Cypramore point runs a 31ft Contender with twin 225 Yamaha's. Great boat for nighttime spec fishing. He also has a 23 ft Grady white with a single 225. Just as good a boat. My other buddy out there runs a 31 ft Grady White with twin 225 yamaha's. Can you get the boat you like with a bracket for outboards? Man those things have come a long way, and are very efficient for moving big boats.

Need Opinions
Manly offshore fishing for Snapper Grouper etc. Boat I am looking at is 33 feet and 12 feet wide. Minimum I will be running out is about 60 miles to about 100 miles

33ft definately diesels. Unless you get a cat with outboards.

We need some more info here. What uses do you intend mostly? What size boat u looking at? I'd stay away from gas inboards.
