The east wind should push the water in as today the water should be high. West wind would push the water out and east would push it in

I live on Bayou Lacombe and the water is about normal(not low at all)

I, like you, thought the water would be low this weekend with the North winds blowing all week. To me, and my Dad's surprise, the water level has remained at normal or just a little below normal all week! Some days it was even higher than normal? Don't know what's going on with the high water but it really hasn't gone down since Isaac? Good luck tomorrow!

Can you hunt big branch with just a pirogue, or I have a 16ft Boston whaler w a pirogue, would that work? Or do I need a go devil?

In fact, there's an area limited to non-motorized access (see map, which I'm too lazy right now to link to). Pretty good bit of paddling, however.
