Decoy maker, although I have made some corkers the decoys pictured were made by a friend of mine and although I hunted for years with my old boykin Charlie he is buried on the Loutre Ridge now. That is a pretty pup though and some fine looking dekes. How old is that girl? Through a complex sequence of events I wound up getting a Deutscher Wachtelhund instead of a boykin to replace Charlie but I will definitely have a boykin again in the future. Thats not any knock on Ava she is a great duck dog and bird dog in her own right.

Nice looking DW! Do you have problems keeping her off nutria? I\'ve heardd they like the fur. My pup is a little under 5 months in the picture. She is a few days over 5 months now. i hope to have her out for teal season, but she is still a little small. Hope to get her on some woodcock this year as well, and maybe a trip for grouse. High hopes I know, we\'ll see. Are they Zeringue dekes? They kinda of look it from the picture.
