Peyton did congratulate them later. He explained to EVERYONE at the post game that he felt that he didn't deserve to be on the same field as Brees. It was Brees and the New Orleans Saints time to be joyful and for them to enjoy the post game activities. Brees helps Peyton, Archie and Eli at the "Manning Passing Academy", they are like family. Don't look to deep into this.
later, is to late, and you are right, he is suppose to be a pro!! if the saints would have lost, which was impossible, i guarantee you coach payton, drew brees and all the saints would have congratulated him and all the colts!!! i think he has been in indianappolis too long and his head got to big, lost his southern culture!!!! his head should have shrunk now, knowing drew bress is the best now!! i wonder what brother and dad thinks about that?? who dat!!!!!!
that they are all close and brees helps at the manning camp-but that doesn't excuse what he did. NO MATTER WHAT you show enough class to go shake the hand of the man that just beat you! it starts in all sports as soon as they can get on the field and is done through out life. i lost a lot of respect for manning when he did that.
cullin, i can understand that, but it didn't look to good on national tv?? people, will not understand this, even though he thought he did the right thing, in his own mine and maybe he did????? if brees and coach payton and the the saints ain't got no problem, i sure don't!!!! the manning family, have always been a great family in my opinion, very charatible, unselfish and giving!! WHO DAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched Sean Payton go over to Brett Favre after the Vikings game and tell him that he (Payton) was "honored to be on the same field with him." Class act.
Ever since little league, I was taught to congratulate the other team. I don't buy the excuse that he was doing it for them. You go shake hands, congratulate them and then get off the field to let them have their time.
He didn't do because he was mad that he lost. He likely realized later how childish and unsportsman-like it was and called with a belated congratulations. Sorry, too late.
admiral, i think you are saying, it all depends, what you make out of it??? manning did the right thing, out of respect for drew bress and the saints, the city and the whole who dat nation, but outsiders will never understand that??? don't believe, what you don't see on tv?? am i right or wrong??? CHEERS!!!!!! GERONIMO is a smart dude!!!!!!
im sick of hearing about the manning family people calling them the first family of new orleans or the kennedys of the south
do yall think peyton would have played for the saints if we would have drafted him when we were a bad team
no no no he would have done just like his snotty little brother and made us trade him to a better team eli was drafted by san diego but refused to even talk with them becouse they were not good enough so they had to make a trade with new york
peyton didnt want to take away from what the saints had thats bull he cant stand losing he was on his way to the locker room will the clock was still ticking
favre did it warner did brady did its just the wright thing to do man up show some class and dont be a sore loser nobody likes to lose but he has no class
first family my butt
I don't care what he said he knows better! No cooth! Might be O.K. up north but not here. You did not see Drew Brees or Sean Payton running off the field when we lost to Dallas and they were jumping around like they won the Superbowl. I lost a little respect for him. He showed up to the game like Fat Chest Charlie and left deflated. LOL!! WHO DAT! WE DAT! INDY CAN'T SAY DAT!!
I was so happy about the victory that I didn’t notice. Thank You for pointing that loser out. I should have been looking for the negative. Man was I an idiot. Those darn Manning’s sure could learn a lot from some of us sportsman like American’s here on the Sportsman. We should think about banning them from teaching all those children at their football camps here in the south. Do you think we could get the Tea Baggers to Stand up against the Manning’s and stop this madness? Doug
PS. I'm being sarcastic for those of you that don't understand.
I heard the same thing on the news but said he was going to say so later. I imagine he was too upset to stay around but I thought he would have more class than that.
