Disposing of old ammo
How should you dispose of old ammo? Not a large amount, but loose 22's, 9mm, 270, shotgun shells. Some are rusting, some may have been under water.

You have two choices. You can call LEO in your area and see if they can dispose of it for you or you can do like most folks and dig a hole and dump it in the hole and cover it up.
Mother nature will take care of the rest.
Gunpowder is made from nitrates and sulphuorus chemicals and will not hurt the enviroment.
Most place w/ large amounts of ammo to get rid of
soak it in water for a week then bury it deep.
