Spearfishing Snapper City
The past three weekends the Kamakazi Divers have been smacking the big red dragons. In my ten years of diving I've never seen the snapper this thick. Whoever decided to make the LA red snapper limit 2/person hasn’t ever been diving of the coast of Louisiana!
This past Saturday yielded a limit of 20lb to 30lb big red guys for me and 6 buddies. We headed 30+ miles out in search of divable water and an old abandoned rig affectionately named 'Snapper City'. Two dives to about 80ft with cold hard steal flying is about all it took for a quick limit of big old red snapper!

That's awesome man. We're supposed to go on our first dive this weekend barring the bad weather. Last time we went out (2 summers ago) we passed on 15 lbs red snapper repeatedly. They're about as endangered as salvania in the swamp. Good job on the meat haul, those are some fatties.
