Most players in the NFL are NOT millioaires. I'll grant you that even league minimum salary is far more than most of us will ever make, but they are hardly rich. The players want the right to be paid a fair wage for their services. I don't see how anyone could argue against that. It's the BILLIONAIRE owners that are the greedy ones.
According to the Obama administration you don't have to make 1m in 1year to be a millionaire. Since the league minimum is or was 295,000 per year, that puts all players in the catagory of 'evil rich millionaires'. And, as for 'a fair wage' if I( as a player) come to an agreement with the evil Billionaire owner that he will pay me 300,000 or 700,000 or 2,000,000 per year, then that IS A FAIR WAGE. If I don't belive that the wage is fair, don't sign the contract!
A deal is a deal and contracts should be honored. The NFL wants the players to play 2 more regular season games for the same pay. If my employer wanted me to work 2 more day's a week for the same pay, then we would have a big problem.
As for the Obla bla administration, anybody that doesn't nuzzle up to the government teet is a millionaire.
The owners and the players are greedy.. I blame both of them if they don't play football this year. Come too an agreement millionaires!! I don't feel sorry for either side.. Sorry.
