Waterfowl and Duck Hunting in Louisiana
Growing up there was always talk about how the area around lake Maurepas was so great in the late 1970's all the way to late 1980's for waterfowl. My opinion the reason this area fell off the map was because the introduction of Salvania. The Salvania has created a blanket on top of the water and does not let any aquatic vegetation grow, which in return the ducks do not have feed. From above,....  Read More

The fishing has been great south of Houma..South Louisiana is the only place in the world where you can catch Redfish , Trout , bass and Sacalait within a few mile radius. This is the best time of year to do it . The trout are going to be inside for the next few months. The bass and Sacalait are moving up to spawn and the redfish are just always biting .
Give me a call and we can have a....  Read More

Davian Bayham and crew were back onboard the Bluewave with me again today. We started out looking for trout, our second stop found a couple solid fish pretty quick. Water temps were right for the trout to bite, but the water was stained. We had high hopes of getting on a decent bite, but it didn't happen. Plan B was put into place and several rat reds and some convicts hit the deck. A couple....  Read More

I purchased a trailer from proride trailer without reading the reviews. It worked out good for me. I purchased a 5 x 14 utility trailer. The only thing a can complain about is the paint was not completely dry. It was done in less than a week and a half, the welds all look good. The communication was good, the price was right and the quality looks good. so I say it was a win for me.

Joshua & Mike Gillen and crew were back onboard with me today. We started out looking for trout with no luck as the water temps were 48-50 degrees. We made a move to drop shrimp for convicts and were greeted with a nice treat!!! Two people threw out a Matrix Shad and both hooked up instantly!! There was no need for the shrimp as the reds crushed our Limbo Slice and Ultraviolet Matrix....  Read More

It's been a while since we have posted mostly because there hasn't really been a lot going on to talk about. But we are still here down at Sweetwater Marina on Delacroix Island. The last good reports we got from our customers were last Saturday and mostly Sunday. Trout were caught in Little Lake, Bayou Long, Lake Batola and Four Horse Lake. Most folks were using live shrimp. Inshore Fishing in Leeville / Golden Meadow in Southeast Louisiana
Hello again cyber anglers,

Fishing and catching out of Boudreaux's in Leeville. Water is all blown out from the heavy north winds from Monday and Tuesday and the Reds and Specks are easy pickings. Live cockahoes under a cork on the flats and Carolina in the deeper water in the middle of the canals is how we are catching. Bayou Lafourche, Redfish point one and two, along with D's canal....  Read More

We finally get some relief from the high river and then the north wind blows all the water out. Some may see this negatively but I see it as an opportunity. With every extreme low tide those reds come out of hiding in the marsh and gang up in the main bayous. The trick is to find them, but when you do it is game on. My crew on Wednesday were surprisingly not in town for Mardi Gras, but here to....  Read More
