1979 Holiday Mansion Barracuda Coastal Edition Houseboat for sale. It's never been in saltwater. It measures 36'x12' and has twin 5.7 ( 350ci) Volvo Penta engines that will pull a skier at 35 mph !! Most models came with a single engine. I have started collecting parts to repower her. I have two newer outdrives for it and have the two new engines on stand-by order to not waste any of the warranty. The engines have been quoted at $3000 for both including delivery and core charges...and will ad additional cost to the asking price. You will get back $400 when you return the old engines. I was told the Kohler 7.5 generator was working fine when last run 5 years ago, but haven't tried to crank it. I just installed a new 4-bank battery charger and new batteries and everything electrical seems to work like it's supposed to...with no blown fuses, tripped fuses or corrosion anywhere i could find. It comes with the coast guard approved sewer system that was a $3000 option so you can dump straight into the water...along with all other top of the line options avaliable at that time. It has a full bath, forward stateroom with two double beds that can be made into one huge larger than king size bed. The helm is also the living room and has a couch that converts into a bed. It has a full galley with all working appliances and large size fridge. Central AC and heat. This boat had it's last survey in the year 2000 and was insured for $38K with a $85K replacement value by Progressive Insurance. It is currently insured for $30K. The boat has been sitting up for 6 years and i was told that both engines run but needs one engine and outdrive replaced. I actually cranked one of the engines, but the carburators are shot and need replacing. The other engine's starter would just 'click' when i tried to start it. During the survey done in 2000, it was noted that one engine was new and the other had 175 hours. I decided to just repower the entire boat so that i would know i had something dependable. The boat comes with two spare parts outdrives..along with the two newer outdrives i just purchased..and two newer trim motors for each...not to mention the two outdrives currently on the boat of which one works. It also comes with tons of extra and spare parts. The under hull and beilge is in perfect condition, with no signs of water entry or even dust or spider webs anywhere in hull !! It's in perfect structural condition..and good cosmetic condition for a 79 model. Never no leaks. The boat had the bottom epoxy recoated in 2000. It is located at Warsaw Marina in Springfield, La ( Slip 19 ) on the Blood River. I currently owe the bank under $6K and would need to pay them off to get you the title. I have every piece of paperwork, reciepts, etc...the entire history of this boat has documents and manuals avaliable. If you want more info, just email and leave a message and i will reply with my phone number. I can also email you a few other photos. LSUBEST1@cox.net
