Agents seeking leads to determine who caused $5,000 in damages, LDWF says

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is seeking leads from the public to find out who caused more than $5,000 in damages to a a road grader last month on the Dewey Wills Wildlife Management Area in LaSalle Parish.

The grader was left on the side of Hunt Road on June 26 because it had overheated and couldn’t be moved to a secure storage area. Sometime between 5:30 p.m. on June 26 and 7 a.m. on June 27, the grader sustained shattered glass to the front windshield, the left-side door window and both rearview mirrors from someone throwing rocks.

Damage to the machine is estimated at $5,000, according to a release from LDWF.
