Gallo, LaCoste share tips with Hackney to catch more specks
It’s prime time for speckled trout across the Louisiana coast, and Sportsman TV made a couple of recent trips with fishing guides to learn the secrets of two guys known to fill the box with yellow mouths.
Show host Greg Hackney and producer Jared Serigné boarded Blue Waves in both Chalmette and Dularge to fish with Capt. Mike Gallo and Capt. Marty LaCoste.
Gallo, with Angling Adventures of Louisiana, demonstrates how to tie a drop-shot rig near the Great Wall that keeps your bait suspended off the bottom, while letting you feel the bite because the sinker is below the hook.
LaCoste, with Absolute Fishing Charters, successfully tight-lined Matrix Shad for keeper trout out of Dularge.
