Trophy bass fishing rightfully gets the lion’s share of attention at Toledo Bend, but it’s also home to some quality crappie as well.

Host Greg Hackney and producer Jared Serigné teamed up with Capt. Stephen Johnston for tonight’s episode of Sportsman TV and started off jigging with Strike King’s tutti fruity tube jigs with the fish suspended about 14 feet above the brush.

By the end of the day, they successfully switched to sliding corks and Capt. Johnston shared some serious local knowledge on how to catch quality Toledo Bend crappie.

Watch tonight’s episode at 6:30 on Cox Sports Television.

Sportsman TV airs on CST every Thursday night, as well as Saturday mornings at 8:30 and Sunday mornings at 9.
