Trophy bass fishing rightfully gets the lion’s share of attention at Toledo Bend, but the Sportsman TV crew found out it’s also home to some quality crappie as well.

Host Greg Hackney and producer Jared Serigné teamed up with Capt. Stephen Johnston at the Bend for tonight’s brand new episode, and started off jigging Strike King tutti fruity tube jigs with the fish suspended about 14-feet above the brush.

By the end of the day, they successfully switched to sliding corks and Capt. Johnston shared some great local knowledge on how to catch quality Toledo Bend crappie.

Watch tonight’s brand new episode at 6:30 on Cox Sports Television.

Sportsman TV airs on CST every Thursday night, as well as Saturday mornings at 8:30 and Sunday mornings at 9.
