Users MIKE GOLDEN and BassHunter520 won this month's photo contests, while longtime member LETUMGROW earned the top spot in the Deer Hunting Video Contest.

Each winner earned a Sportsman Gear prize pack that includes a one-year subscription to Louisiana Sportsman and a $25 gift coupon to the online Sportsman Store.

Site users choose the photo contest winners by voting on their favorites from among a selection of images chosen by site administrators. The video contest winner is chosen by total number of views.

In the Nikon Big Buck Contest, MIKE GOLDEN squeaked out the win with 50 percent of the votes cast for his image titled Bossier Parish Skyscraper.

The photo shows a huge 8-point Golden killed on Dec. 9.

Coming in a close second with 47 percent of the votes was user Huntingislife49,who entered a photo of a 151-inch buck he killed while hunting near St. Francisville over the Christmas holidays.

The final 3 percent of votes was split between user jkcorso and on a mission.

In the final round of the 2011 Trail Cam Contest, BassHunter520's photo of a buck bedding down in front of the camera was voted users' favorite image of the month.

BassHunter520 earned 50 percent of votes cast in the contest.

Next up was ADelcambre's photo titled "Is it Yogi Bear?" that shows a black bear feasting on corn at a feeder. The image received 31 percent of votes.

Users rougebacala2 and Hambone51 split the remaining votes.

Of the six vids entered into the Deer Hunting Video Contest, LETUMGROW earned the Sportsman Gear prize pack with a video of his 13-year-old daughter Quinn taking her first Sika buck in Texas during Thanksgiving.

This video logged 992 views when the contest period ended.

LETUMGROW also submitted the second-most-popular vid during December. His "Kyle Takes His First Buck" attracted 886 views.

Third place went to Basinboy, who uploaded a video from a Midwest traditional bow hunt. It garnered 825 views.
