- The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission approved a notice of intent to reduce the LDWF alligator hide tag fee from $4 to $3 for the 2020 and 2021.
- LDWF will offer alligator sport hunting licenses online and from authorized license vendors beginning this Thursday (Aug. 1).
- With its reopening, Bussey Brake Reservoir north of Bastrop in Morehouse Parish will again become a prime fishery for bass, bream, crappie and catfish.
- The Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission passed a Notice of Intent to make the current crappie regulations on Eagle Lake in Madison Parish permanent.
- The thermometer indicated it was a blistering hot July in Louisiana — but some big bass apparently felt like it was still springtime up at Toledo Bend.
