Coyotes are too smart to go into hog traps, unless you use live bait, like a chicken or something. snares seem to work pretty good on them, the problem is that you catch a lot more then just coyotes

I actually use the same thing to make my round traps. They work great. also they are not that hard to move around. You just have to turn them upright and roll them. I sell them for 700.00 just because of the time it takes to make it fit together properly. But on the bottom spool you need to remove the braces and leave one inthe back, if not the hogs will be scared to enter when they step on the braces. if you have n e more questions let me know. j_harris313@yahoo.com

I usually use regualar whole corn to bait my traps. You need to put a little corn around your traps and then a line going in your trap, then a big pile in the bacl of your trap. I sometimes sour my corn with beer or water, but that takes time and if your in a area with a lot of hogs you dont need the smell of the sour corn to bring them in. Also if your trapping, make sure your deer feeders are off. This will cut down on the opportunities that the hogs have to find food. I have also put the powered jello on the corn to give it a sweet smell that attracts the hogs. And used cooking oil works great if its available.
