Definitely not watersnake. Maybe cornsnake but am not seeing characteristic pattern on head. Is this the underside of the head. Anyway is definitely nonvenomous.
Harmless Dekay's brown snake. They are very small snakes. This is not a baby snake but a full grown adult.
It is a harmless rat snake. I am in Texas so I would have to look at map to find species. It is nonvenomous and eats rodents. I would keep it around if I were you. They rarely bite but if they do it doesn't hurt.
