Well I brought the kids to Chicot 7/11/15 to do a little bank fishing, just trying to catch a few bream or sac-a-lait to fry for supper. So I ventured of on one of the trails along side the lake and came to a nice spot. I was equipped with my trusty 5' ultralight bream pole. So I made my 1st cast and I saw the water swirl next to a big cypress tree about 10' from where I cork landed, so I said let me hit that spot, there might be something there so I reeled in a casted in that spot and bam..I thought it was an alligator coming out of the water..lol. Then I realized what it was.I fought it and amazingly my line or hook never snapped. I didn't have a scale, but it was 19.5'long. By far my biggest bass ever!!!
Just thought I would share...
This is not the biggest, but it is my first time taking a deer out of Thistlewaite WMA. I've seen several and have never been had the opportunity get a shot off mainly due to the 'PALMETTOS' but after countless hours of hunting this place I finally got my shot. This place aint no joke when it comes to real hunting.
Wathched her feed in from a 100yds. She eventually stopped to feed between 50 or 60yds out. It took him about 8 minutes before he could catch his breath to make his shot.
