Okay, fellas. My wife wants to book a charter speck trip in August for a rodeo. What place in Louisiana would give me the best opportunity for a monster Trout.

Took my wife, little boy and nephew out to the Sulfur Mine, we fished the main Bayou between PAC marina and the bayou the goes into the mine with chicken legs and caught our limit (144) of fat delicious mostly male crabs. Had a few pics but I forgot to format the SD card and the pics didn't save.

Looking to get me nice little home defense weapon, ran across this Taurus at Houma Auto parts and I am seriously considering buying one for the house. It is a MODEL 4510 .45/.410 (2.5" CHAMBER) STAINLESS STEEL REVOLVER, the guy working there told me you can shoot anything from .45 colt ammunition to .410 slugs, buckshot or any other shell available in .410 caliber. Anyone have an educated opinion one way or another on the gun, are any Taurus revolver.

This is the result of me, my son and my dads first fishing trip together. To make a long story short, pulled my boat from raceland to lake boudreaux, noticed I was short on cash and it was getting late so instead of heading back to the bank we stopped behind my uncles dock and hooked to these fish. 17 Sheephead and 1 red, we also released quite a few puppy drum, it didn't bother my little boy he had a blast, and it didn't bother me because the only gas I burned in my boat was the gas that evaporated.

why dont you write up a bill to make all gas stations sell apples and oranges and all butcher shops sell grass fed mid western beef.......in other words your bill stinks in my opinion, yes ethanol is bad for boats and what not but you cant regulate what a buisness must sell....only what it can't sell.

Smooth out some dirt in front the bayou where you want it lay some heavy plastic on top, frame a concrete slab about 6 inches thick the length you want it then rent a bulldozer to push it into the bayou. Then you just have to lay some shells in front of it for a drive way.

There is no limit. They are easy to clean, you have to make sure that you pull the nerve out the legs if not they will jump out the grease.

Everyone else bit but it seems like you fishing for a smart a$$ answer. The closest fire station that is manned 24 hours is the Little Caillou fire Station which is before the Boudreaux Canal Bridge, and if they have a boat passing your heart attack will last another 5 minutes till they close the bridge to let the ambulance pass. So I would stay home, because you will probably ruin the trip for everyone else.

I dont know how much seasoning to put, you didn't state how much you were boiling. But dont boil them longer than 2 or 3 minutes. Put them into your seasoned boiling water and when it comes back to a boil watch them. You will see the peelings separate from the shell. When this happens, turn off you fire. You can let soak up to 10 or 15 minutes.

Some people say you can put a slice of banana to help them or don't put the salt till after they boiled but I sat all that is hog wash. Just don't boil them to long.

P.S. You will notice that they start to float once the shell starts to separate from the meat. This is also a good indicator of them being cooked.

I also have buddy that went to school and got a petroleum engineering degree, he was burnt out on school so he took a little time off got him 100 crab traps and started crabbing. Make a long story short some assclown went and and run his traps, my buddy hid out in the marsh with his 300 weatherby and when the assclown started picking up his traps he shot out his engine, went to the next trap in line and started checking them, he didn't have a problem the rest of the summer.

When you get grab the cork use a small gaff. Then grab the rope 2 feet or so down. You will not get stuck this way. but the thief will when he grabs it right under the cork.

A comment titled: EASY TO FIX in response to a report titled: Sorry people

I know a couple crabbers who use rakes on there boats. They put out some special fisherman traps that have a piece of barbed wire tied near the bouchon. To poke the thief's in the hand.
