I Googled a particular boat the other day and one of the search results came up with an expired LAS ad that had 'expired six days ago.' This was a couple of weeks ago. I've been running an ad in the classifieds trying to find the owner to see if it's still for sale with no success. So, thought I would post it here in hopes somebody knows who owns this boat and can have him/her get in touch with me as I would like to take a look at it, if it's still for sale.

I'd appreciate any help I can get. The ad claimed it was in the Baton Rouge area. SOMEBODY has to recognize this hull/motor combo! There aren't that many dual console rigs running around.....they kind of stick out! LOL

I have had this boat for just over a year now. I don't think there is a thing I would change about the set-up! It may not be the fastest mud boat out there. But, I designed it and had it built for comfort and versatility. Looking forward to hearing more news about what Prodrive is doing with their new lower unit design and the EFI add-on kit for the B&S Vanguard power supply.

The video was taken in the Biloxi Marsh WMA area. Prop has quite a bit of wear on it. But, I am pretty much maintaining the same speeds I achieved with similar loads when it was new...except now with the prop wear, I am turning up more RPM's where when the prop was new, I maxed out around 3950'ish RPM's and was steady on the high end of 25, low end of 26 mph.

Duck season finally arrived for Mississippi! Here in the upper state, the ducks have been holding up in the Corps of Engineers lakes by the thousands! It was very easy to be selective on the birds if you wanted...or if you weren't too picky, you could easily limit out in a matter of minutes. Hope they are still here next weekend for the second split!

November 25, 2012 at 8:11pm's a record for my pond! Previous record was 9 lbs. even. Son's friend (13 years old) landed this 10 lb. 12 oz. largemouth using a blue/black worm Carolina rigged with a small split shot. (Trick I taught him LOL) He had it weighed at the nearby 'catch-all' convenience score which had a certified scale for selling cold cuts. No doubt, an excited young man who can't wait for the fish to go...and come back...from the taxidermist!

Just had a custom aluminum center console boat built with a Prodrive surface drive motor and put it through the rigors at Grand Isle after picking it up.

The 24' sides made crossing the bays nice when the weather turned bad. The flat bottom was nice for getting through the duck ponds on falling tides. BIG reds and even BIGGER drum were holed up in the duck ponds working oyster beds. They were pretty tight lipped at times. But, easy to spot against the edges and tailing in the middle of the ponds. When they weren't tight lipped, they were hitting spinner baits. When they were tight lipped, a live cocahoe minnow usually pried their jaws open. Hardest thing about this trip was getting fish in the boat under 27'! The second hardest thing was keeping the fish from breaking me off on the oyster beds!

It is always so nice to get one of these on a hook! Now living in upper MS, it is not that often we get back to South LA to enjoy the redfishing we miss so much. But when we do, we certainly make the most of it!

Water falling in Henderson North Flats has seed heads and feed everywhere. Birds are thick! Be some great blast and cast this weekend!

September 10, 2015 at 10:30am

The teal are thick as Mosquitos in the Henderson North Flats! Gonna be over with in five minutes come sun-up Saturday morning. I'm going to plan on sleeping in Sunday morning and catch the 7:30 shoot-out after everybody else leaves....not to mention, that's about the time that cool front supposed to pass through!

A comment titled: I'll Say it Slowly in response to a report titled: Where to Public Hunt Teal

If it's on the dubya dubya dubya, it has to be true.

I've been seeing teal flocked up by the hundreds down in the WMA between Leeville and Grand Isle. That's where the birds are holding. Been redfishing out there every day for the past week and a half. Almost hooked a teal with a spinner bait yesterday morning.

Whatever you do, don't go down there and waste your time. No birds, no fish. Nothing but commarants and hard heads.

Stolen from the back of the truck? LOL

Nice of you to seek him out and I'm glad the kid got the rack back. But, my guess would be it was probably propped up somewhere in the back of the truck for the whole world to see as he was driving home...just didn't do a great job of securing them.

A comment titled: Coleman Extreme - Academy Edition in response to a report titled: ice chest

Academy has (used to have) an 'exclusive' version of the Coleman Extreme which is what I use for blast and cast mornings with my surface drive. This particular one has the wheels on one side with the large tote handle on the other. With the wheels, tote handle and what they call 'camo', it can only be purchased at Academy.

A comment titled: K-9 in response to a report titled: not quite sure! Pig? Deer? Other?

It's canine. Tail is there. It's just a blur, though because the trail camera snapped a shot while it was wagging it's tail. Lenses on these cameras are a little slow for the low-light conditions and anything moving quickly will be a blur.

A comment titled: MB Consumers=Guinea Pigs? in response to a report titled: New mud buddy problem

From what I have read about the 'Mudbuddy Family of Products,' they seem to be content with letting the consumer be the guinea pig with their product lines instead of going out and doing some 'real' product testing themselves.

If this is 'Revision 6' of this motor, sounds like they already worked out six other kinks on their own. They should have given out a few demo rigs to people (guides & such) that would get plenty of use from them to see how well they endure in different environments before giving them to the consumer. I think they are behind the eight ball on delivery and are going to start putting motors out there. The people that buy them will be the new test subjects.

Their videos on Youtube do not offer any insight into their durability. My MinnKota RipTide can do what they are doing...backing up in tall grass? backing up in soupy mud? bang the prop against some rocks? They should have used oyster beds for that test.

If and when these motors finally do get on the back of boats...and stay there...and they prove themselves to have 'revolutionized' the mud motor industry. I may look into one. But, until then, I'll stick with my ProDrive.

A comment titled: Corps of Engineers in response to a report titled: Opening Weekend in MS was GREAT!

These were taken at Arkabutla. I have been hunting Sardis, also. Ducks have pretty much moved off the lakes now with all the rain we have been getting. The fields and anywhere near 'THE' river are pretty hot right now. With all the rain of late, the birds have their choice of where to land. Everything is flooded right now. Stinks!

A comment titled: Mercury for Mud in response to a report titled: New Boat - Big Fish!

LOL...I used to use a Mercury 150 as a mud motor on a pretty frequent basis. It powered me out of some shallow water situations many times! You just have to remember to pull the thermostats and clean all trash out of them...and know how to change out your impeller!

Seriously, the Prodrive takes that to an all new level...minus the speed.

Boutte, LA

2012 boat, motor and trailer.

Boat - 1854 Uncle J Center Console, Sport Deck. 3/16' bottom/transom, 1/8' sides and floor. 24' sides. 4' catwalks with 1-1/4' gunnel. 16 gallon built-in tank, hydraulic steering, LED Shark-eye running lights. Hyrdroturf in the boat - but, it's very worn and could use replacement. Dry storage under front deck and in front of console.

Motor - Prodrive, Gen II LU, FPR, hydraulic tilt. Pushed an exhaust valve through the starboard head head recently and don't have the time or desire to fool with it. Motor has cam, decked heads, governor removed, BPS Q exhaust, modified stock carb. Before losing the valve, this motor would deliver the mail with solid 28-31 mph speeds; depending on loads and prop. 3 props included.

Trailer - 2012 Diamond Aluminum trailer with spare.

The first $8000 takes this rig home. Be a great project rig for somebody. For less than $2K, you can re-power with stock 36 HP Vanguard. For somewhere between $3-4K, you can repower with a 37 EFI or 40 EFI. Or, if you're a DIY guy, you can drop new heads/pistons in for less than $1K and be running in no time.

I just don't have the time or desire to deal with it, right now. And, want to buy a bigger bay boat...have to sell this one to make room for the next one! Rig is located in Dutchtown area (Prairieville/Geismar). All titles in hand. Text or call, nine oh one, 3 six one, 5 double-oh 5.

Thanks for looking and God Bless!!

I'm about to give up on trying to find this apparent unicorn! Take a close look and let me know if you know who owns this boat! Somebody has to know who owns this boat! Or, is it just imaginary? Wanting to find the owner of this expired LAS ad to see if the boat is still for sale. It was a 23' Baycraft Dual Console in the Baton Rouge area. If this was you or you know the owner....and the boat is still for sale.....please have the owner get in touch with me at 9 oh one, 3 six one, five double oh 5. I'm in the BR area and would like to see the boat.

Thanks for looking and helping out!
