Does anyone have any information as to why the rocks were removed from south shoreline of Little Lake from Bay L'Ours to Plum Point? I thought we were trying to prevent coastal erosion?? Our tax dollars were used to transport these huge limestone rocks from Arkansas/Missouri by barge, placed by crane along the shoreline which prevented erosion and created an awesome fishing habitat. The rocks created a breakwater that allowed vegetation to grow which also filtered the water to allow it to remain clear during winter months with strong northerly winds.
Now we spent more tax dollars to remove these rocks?
I don't get it. I'm totally confused. Please comment.
Found someone's lost communication device today near my driveway in Lafitte. If you lost it, please call me to describe it as I would love to get it back to the rightful owner. Thanks, Richard 504-495-7831
