Privet land I feel is managed well enough and can maintain there own heard. The real problem is all these doe day zones opening at different times, it brings people from other zone that aren't open yet and put more hunters in the woods in that area and putting a higher kill rate on deer in that area. To really fix the problem you need to open all these zones at the same time, that will keep hunters from doing a mass killing in one area and than moving on to the next. It seems as if the people making all these rules has never picked up a gun and hunted, I know this about the zones, before I got my hunting land we did just that very thing jump from zone to zone as Doe days open, and I know of large groups of hunters that still do that very thing.

Leeville will never be the same again for some of us. We have been fishing Leeville for 8 years now and still finding new grounds to fish, all the changes taking place with storms and destruction that has come to this area, the people there remain strong and proud of there End Of The Road. I want to thank the business and friendly people in Leeville for making our stay there such a pleasant one, time and time again.
My buddy just got him a new Bay Boat so we left my Old Xpress home.I must say a glass boat does give a pretty nice ride but your teeth cringe when you hit oyster beds and other objects under the water. If he keeps driving that boat like he drives his Race Truck (Lock-N-Load) he'll be back fishing with the Gator Tail soon enough...LOL.
All and all we had an other great time in Leeville having to release many 'Big Dewds' as seen on this video.

One more thing, find the deep water this time of year in the marsh, that will be where your specks will be holding up. YES,there are deep holes in the marsh, finding them is the fun of fishing Leeville and it will make you a better angler as you put in your time on the water, so get out the old depth finder and start looking and BURN SOME GAS. Good luck!!!!

We fish the Bays and Marsh's. Very rarely will i hit the platform or well heads. I have so many spots to run around to, I don't take the time to wait on the fish to come around,I jump tell I fine them. If they aren't hitting with in 10-20 min. in a spot I jump to my next one and so on.

A comment titled: power pro braided line in response to a report titled: Braid or mono

I went to Braided line Years ago and never looked back. I us it on my bait casters and spinning reels. One thing I have learned is to use a mono leader, tie that to every thing but a popping cork. The reason for that is no matter what name brand braid line you go with the oyster reefs or rocks will cut that braid faster and ezer than the mono. Also braids has NO give, so a little shock absorbing that mono provides will give the hook just enough time to dig in. Join the to with the new albright knot. https://www.google.com/search?q=new+albright+knot&hl=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=18iGUJ6YIoLq2QWonIB4&ved=0CCEQsAQ&biw=1092&bih=514

I use 50lbs power pro with a 60lbs mono, but hay that's just me. When the big one hits it I'm not wishing I had a heavier line tied on. HAY, Go big or go home!!!!!!!!

That's a nice rig you have, where are you fishing out of, I like to fish mostly out of Montegut hitting the Marsh there.
A note on putting a different propeller than what you have, the only way to really get it right and have your motor work at it's full potential is to install a RPM gauge. Seeing where you are on rpm's will help you make the correct choice on a prop. Trust me I bought several for the Yam. till I got it in the sweet spot. Talking to some one that knows a thing or two about propellers and with the rpm readings can really save you time and money. After years of tinkering with this I've grown pretty good at it, not calling my self an expert either, every boat is different. Bottom line is what are the RPM's reading that's the first and only step, period.

It's the 15 HO or a 23 HP Gator Tail, but thats on hold for now wasn't expecting the Yamaha to give out. Good luck with your fixings of the boat and yes I would like to see what your working with, any reason to why you went with the long shift?

I have a smaller boat that I'm thinking of putting the 15 HO on it 14 52,I think that motor is the same as the 25 HP. How is the 25 running,do you find it pushes your boat harder than others in that class? What size boat is it on? I'm not quite sure why they came out with the HO, but I guess every one need that Little extra.

I bough the Reg. 115 the HO would have been more than I needed. Coming from a 90 to a 115 is more than satisfying enough,I'm very happy with the motor and the power. I had the chance to run next to another smaller Xpress with a Mercury 125 he was at WOT and i was only turning 4200 rpm and I keep about 5 boat length ahead for a good 3 miles before getting to the launch. I will be unable to run it now for some time after this Friday, so I ran the self Fogging feature, very EZ and did it in Less than a min. Man I really love this motor!!!!!
