I would like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
Had a great day fishing out of Sweetwater marina. I always feel welcomed there and captian jack is a great host. launched about 6:45am and it didn't take long to find the fish. most of the fish were caught on sweetwater live shrimp!!! But i did pull in few on soft plastics. So if you plan on going fishing down in the Delacroix area, go down and see the folks at Sweetwater Marina and Captian Jack. They will help you in everyway they can and even back you down for you to get a good start. THEY ARE GREAT!!! See ya on the water.
The newest sportsman is here.

We had a great day down in Delacroix today. I had the company of my friend Matt and my son Peyton. Its been a while since i've been able to get down there between work and LSU football. As expected the service at Sweetwater was outstanding as normal. After Captain Jack's new shrimp counter Peyton picked our shrimp, captian Jack sent us out with instructions where to start. It didn't take long to find the trout and we were done in time to get back home to watch the LSU game. no time to hunt for reds but 75 trout was plenty. So if you want great service, bait, and learn where to fish in the Delacriox area then go see captian Jack and his staff at Sweetwater Marina.
We had a good day out of Sweetwater marina. I had the company of a long time friend and his two boys Aidan and Logan. So we brought our boys down to Delacroix for a youth fishing rodeo. The Knights of Columbus put on a great event. Its all about our kids and to teach them what great natural resources we have. We had a great morning and the boys landed 56 specks and a bunch of sheephead before it rained. Peyton landed two flounder and won 1st place in the rodeo for flounder. Logan landed a very nice speck that won him 2nd place and Aidan took 3rd in the speckled trout. The one thing i got was a great day on the water with a great friend and to show our kids a great time fishing. Sweetwater marina was up to the task and backed us down to the water and parked the truck. When we came back helped load the boat and pulled us out the water. Where else can you find service like that.
Had a great day down in Delacroix. Launched as norm out of Sweetwater and service keeps getting better. Looks like the bait shop on the water is coming along good. Cindy meet us at the launch and my son just lights up to talk to her. It is great to have meet people like Capt. Jack and cindy are class acts. With the winds down we went out and was rewarded with nothing but large trout and we even picked up a few reds. We even saw a huge school of jacks in the bay. tried to boat a couple but my 65 pound braid was no match. Thank you cindy for all you and Captian Jack do to make everyones trips down there enjoyable.
Made a trip down to Delacroix Saturday it started slow. But turned on later. And as normal the service is second to none. Captian Jack and crew makes everything so easy. With a 8 year old and two women with me they launched the boat for me with all of us loaded in the boat and we were off. Service service service is all I can say. And for you guys and gals who may not have a boat call captian jack and set up a charter, the service only gets better. O yea did I say he's building a live bait shop on the water. COMING SOON.
We made another trip down to Delacroix to Sweetwater Marina and always Captian Jack put us on the fish. Where else can you go and put in and have some greet you as soon as you stop and be asked how can they help. The crew they have are great and they help you launch and reload your boat on your trailer. Hey for you guys that bring your ladies, kids or if you go by yourself they will help you back down and get your truck when you get back. Also don't forget to ask captian Jack where the fish are.
ANOTHER GOOD DAY OUT OF SWEETWATER MARINA DOWN IN DELACROIX. FIRST TRIP IN 4 WEEKS AND IT WAS GREAT. 52 SPECKS AND 30 WHITES. NOT TO BAD FOR ME AND THE WIFE AND OUR 7 YEAR OLD SON. O YEA DID I SAY I GOT OUT FISHED BUY THE 7 YEAR OLD.
