Nice 4 Pointer

My son and I hunted black powder at our lease this weekend.
The pictures are results of our hunt. He killed the buck about 125 yards away early Saturday morning. He swore it was an 8 pointer when he shot, he ran off about 50 yards in to the woods and when we found him and he had lost 4 points in the thicket????? Still nice 4 pointed that weighed 150 lbs. I was as excited as he was when I heard him shoot. He's two up on me with the muzzle loader and rubbing it in. I'm one up on him with the bow. Opening weekend for rifle coming up. We'll see who take the lead with the big guns........

Ground Shrinkage
It was an eight in the scope 125yds away but when the smoke cleared it lost 4 points due to the buck fever symptom (Ground Shrikage) but all in all im the happiest boy in Louisiana. My dad posted before i got a chance to, by the way daddy thats TWO UP on you with a muzzle loader lol

Take it easy!
Take it easy on your old man son, we are getting old too fast as it is. I have one boy right behind you and he is laying them down on a regular basis. By the way, that has got to be the biggest bodied 4pt I have ever seen!

Nice 4 Pointer
4 or 8 either way you can't eat them horns. That is a good deer. I would say his judgement was clouded by BUCK FEVER
