Lady P Trip Little bit of Red Emption 9 7 18

Had a Medicare Client wanting to join me on redfishing trip and today turned out to be much better than yesterday's trip.Launched fairly early at Cane, emerged at mouth and we were greeted with very smooth seas, made our way towards thick grass beds and started chunking Bomber Spinner Baits at reds or whatever else wanted to play and all we managed to entice strikes from were ladyfish and plenty of them til we hit paydirt in form of fine red, then a rat red and second keeper red was one I sight-casted to,he swiped at lure, missed it and I cast it right on top of his nose, cranked reel maybe twice and he nailed Bomber, thought he had free meal til Zo-Zuri Hybrid 15 lb test caught up with him and we dropped him into box to join another fine red. Both reds were in excess of 20 inches, perfect grilling sized reds and we did spook bunch of fat alligator gars and saw way more reds today vs yesterday(Tuesday was an extra-special day, getting solo limit in shade over 2 hrs)and we spotted a few puppy drum, saw signs of increased redfish activity and hope to get on some reds, possibly next Sat/Sun after chasing blue wing teal!!Think my client had awesome time and promised to get him back out for some fun sight-casting to nice reds in pristine water.Got deer food plot work staring me in de face and plenty more Medicare Training and will take short break this week end and hope weather and water conditions improve ahead of next trip!!

Yes,we indeed did just barely beat dem nasty storms.Side nte,got hilarious voicemail from John C jokingly calling me de 'Redfish Whisperer' and I musts been de 'Redfish Screamer' yesterday, based upon our total lack of redfish yesterday.Hope Lady P gets back to what she was just prior to Gordon and reds should be a-plenty!!!

Hope to run into you sometime. Fish Lady P and the Rigolets. Turning 65 yo in February so we can talk Medicare also. Haven't fished Bayou Cane but it looks like fun. Hope to see you on the water!

CCAguns,I would certainly be honored to assist you with Medicare just get with me at your convenience. As far as fishing goes,I checked tidal predictions and between that and a busy schedule with Medicare Re-Certification,just no time to wet a line but I did get with another Medicare Client(we hunt on same deer lease)and we busted it getting his food plot about as perfect as one could hope for and I bush-hogged mine and rains kinda messed us up but not before I somehow managed to run over a huge corn snake, probably well over 4 ft long and a beautiful snake at that.Me and snakes not exactly best buddies but I do not indiscriminantly kill them, this beast musta got crushed by tractor or box blade teeth crushed him and I always look down when working in extremely tall brush and my guess is he was in there chasing rodents and did not get out of harm's way!!Will send picture when I get a moment.

Yeah, a lot of good snakes get killed. Fussed with some guys that killed a Mississippi mud snake last spring. They thought it was poisonous because of bright coloring. Send contact number when you can and i'll give you a call. Slack tides this week as I found out yesterday. Busy the rest of the week myself. Regards!
