Dularge trip

Reply

Made the trek down the bayou this morning from Baton Rouge. No moon and very little tide so wasn’t expecting a great day. Stopped at the houseboat in bayou dularge to try to get some livies but they were not open. Headed south to raccoon point got there just after first light. Plastic under cork until it got hot then moved to fishing bottom. Ended with 36 nice trout. I have been having issues finding reds out of dularge. Should I fish closer to shores of sister lake or the coast?

Fish the points and along the canals off of Bayou Grand Calliou between Dulac and Dularge. Any where water is moving into or out of the Marsh. Just stick and move. Reds are pretty thick all over right now.

The endless ponds and canals between bayou sauveur and sister lake are great as well as marsh between mud lake and bayou racourrci area. In the ponds I prefer an incoming tide.
