5 days of Catching

I’ve been busy catching which is always a good thing. The pop up showers have kept it interesting but I have a theory of no fish is worth dying for so all has worked out. Trell Harris and family came in from Houston to start things off. After all the hard west winds we had, we finally got out to see what the trout were doing. Started slow but we found a steady bite on double rigged Matrix Shad. The trout favored the Ultraviolet. They caught pretty much everything that swims in the Gulf. Once the heat machine cranked up the ladies called it quits. With wind forecast in our favor I figured the next few days the bite would get better and better which turned out to be true. Thanks to the Boyd Family for coming down and staying with us. They caught a nice mess on Saturday. Brian Williams was back Sunday with his son Brayden and it was fun watching the competitive juices go as they slung in a great catch. Monday and Tuesday Lewis Hubbard’s crew came in from Monroe for a bachelor party. We trout fished day one before getting ran in by weather and with storms all around the second day we stayed close and redfished before they had to make the long drive back home. Thanks Capts. Too Hot Labat and Marty for helping me out with the varied groups. Summer is coming to a close so it’s time to plan for the Fall. Give me a call
