Trying to get in as much fishing time as possible before what promises to be extra-busy Open Enrollment for my wife and I and I again hit Cane Bayou(solo today)and wisely made de executive decision to forego heading W to Causeway(Lake way too rough)and made my way to favorite protected bayou, not looking too promising at first with little to no water movement, decided to stay de course and kept tossing Zoom Speed Worm,Ultra-Vibe,June Bug Red and started pecking away at possible solo limit, ended up with 8 decent marsh bass,a few chunks in de mix, missed at least 5 nice fish, one most likely a gar as it ripped Zoom Speed Worm right off worm hook, highly unusual for a bass to rip worm clean off hook!Saw several large gators and look pic of one probably 4 ft long near entrance to bayou from Lake.Got client meeting this evening and one tomorrow at noon, then headed to Ole Jefferson where Wifey and I have been doing awesome job painting her cute stucco house that needed freshening up in bad way.She has gotten tons of extremely nice compliments and I warned her to tell inquiring minds dat Wifey and I only doing her huge favor in painting her house(she is paying up appropriately, but we are charging far less than her last paint job).Hope to nab a few more fish next week and in few weeks,Wifey and I headed to Buffalo Point in Yellville,Arkansas for a last vacation prior to required certifications, training, etc, that the Major Carriers require!!
