Another Busy Week of Catching

Coach Rodney Guin was back onboard the Bluewave with his crew. We were greeted with some wind and chop first thing in the morning, but the fish were biting. It wasn't a fast bite but steady enough to keep us interested. The seas calmed down and we continued to pick away at a nice box.

Day two with Coach Guin and crew found calm seas, we thought the morning bite would be on fire. Slow picking the first hour then the winds and seas picked up from a storm. We made a move for protection and found a decent bite of trout and some reds. We fished until the bite played out and my crew threw in the towel. Fun times always with Coach and crew. I look forward to his return in July.

Scotty Muller was back with Gaiennie lumber. We once again found calm seas with beautiful water, but no tide moving and the fish not biting. We made a move and started picking away at some
Decent fish. Patience was key and we just stayed drifting back and forth adding to the count until everyone had enough! Always a good time with this crew. Big thanks to Capt T Miller, K Labat for running the other two boats and Capt C Lombard for taking care of John Theriot and crew.

Good customer Al Reaux brought his grandsons back on another trip. Calm winds, seas and pretty green water and hungry fish at day break. The big trout were coming over the gunnels 1-2 at a time on our double rigged Matrix and Vortex Shad. It looked as if we were going to smoke em! Then the tide quit and the bite. Move after move only found 1 fish here and there. We fished long and hard and called it quits when the storms started brewing. We made it back just in time before the sky fell. Thanks to Capt J Broussard for taking care of Scott Moise and sons they had a solid catch.

The good ole trusty weatherman (NOT) had us canceling three days that we should not have. I caught up on some well needed rest, then took my two boys smoke the reds. The reds have been stacked up and easy to catch. Easy limits for my boys and great memories made.

Back to the grind as June is booked solid.
