Seeing red

Took my buddy from work down to shell beach yesterday to try to get hooked into his first redfish ever, who is still new top yak fishing as well. It was game on from 730 to 930. We limited out by 830 and played catch and release for another hour plus. Live shrimp on the bottom, almost every cast for two hours. Had a blast. Lost count but definitely away least 20-24 each. Would have been many more but retying often took a lot of time. You can see what they did to my jig head! 16 - 28 was the size. Average size was 18 -22.

Tight lines!

Walker2,Wish I could point ya in right direction but I have not been to Hopedale in way too many years.Headed there this Friday and be glad to let ya know how we do,most likely gonna buy some 'fish insurance' in de form of live shrimp!!Love soft plastics and all I typically use but often at the rocks in Hopedale, live shrimp de only thing they want!!

We went to hopedale on Sunday. We hit the marshes up the canal . Very weedy up in there. Hard to get the shrimp in front of them. My fishing buddy hit em on spoons but I had no luck. We got there in the early afternoon and heard the rocks were really choppy so we went up in the marsh instead. In the morning we killed them at the rocks off of Shell Beach.
