Good Brim fishing spots in Lake Verrett

Reply

I want to take my 13 and 14 year old to try and catch a mess of Brim out at Lake Verrett, it has been at least 10 years since i been down the way as we usually are always at Pointe A La Hache fishing at the camp, but since that is quite a ways away, was looking for something closer. Do any of you have any tips on a few good spots i maybe able to catch a mess with my boys?
Thanks for the info...

Re: Good Brim fishing spots in Lake Verrett
I have read folks replies about finding my own fish on some other old post, and i do plan on finding my own fish, but since it has been so many years since i been out that way i was mainly looking for some general info.. I am NOT asking for your personal hot spots..
Thanks for the help!

Re: Good Brim fishing spots in Lake Verrett
went last weekend. Fished the crackhead with very little to show (4 of the biggest perch i've ever caught but only 4). Talked with a few people who caught about 20 cats in the trees with a worm under cork. What I can tell you is that the water is still high (1/4th of the parking lot at Attakapas had standing water)...my suggestions would be to get as far into the swamp as you can...maybe they're back there or fish the Stephensville area where it's more canals and not so wide open. I do believe the water is receding but i'd doubt it flushed them out the swamps yet. Best of luck
