Anyone else tired of seeing these endless Apex stories that are pretty ridiculous? Personally, i think the site would be better if another one was never posted. Just my .02

Re: Endless Apex Articles
agree. much like the reports by a particular user that seems to go out of his way to misspell most of the words in the post. Though we need to keep in mind that just because its posted here, we don't have to click on it.

Re: Endless Apex Articles
he lives on the cover, often times doing what many succeed at in the woods on a semi-regular basis as well. And '5 mile' runs in a reserve...... Idk how he's not on private land. Not many WMA's you can go 5 miles and not cross multiple trails/roads. It's just over the top. On the cover a lot for whatever reason. I mean if i didn't work and someone funded me to live in the woods, i would be very successful as well. And the 'your jealous' potential responses..... LOL, nah. My success is mine, i do not need recognition or self-promotion.

Re: Endless Apex Articles
he used to write normal articles about his trips...then a couple years ago, Louisiana Sportsman brought him on in some capacity. I can't recall if it was as a staff writer or field writer but i do recall introducing him....so I don't blame him for his articles, however crazy they seem. I can tell you that we have a mutual friend and he did verify with me that hunting with him is insane. They went elk hunting together and they did hike way more than our standard hunt. I do know his wife is a doctor so I surely don't blame him for marrying UP and pursuing his passions...but like we all see, the stories are over the top for really no purpose. I actually wish he'd keep those 4 point and 6 point kills to himself and practice some QDMA if he's actually killing that much. Impossible for them to eat 15 deer, 40 hogs and an elk, not counting the fish, turtles, nutria..etc....I have 3 kids and 3 deer a year holds us over till the next.

Re: Endless Apex Articles
This is just my opinion. Your comments are probably the surprise of the year for me. I've never met Josh but have enjoyed his outdoor adventures and him sharing them with all of us. You gotta admit they are unique and most of the time 'out of control'. The big thing is that he does share them with us. Most folks that come on the site actually never post a report much less share a story about their outdoor adventures. So I'm grateful, and to be truthful...I wanna come back in the next life in great shape, hunt and fish all the time and marry a doctor!
God bless and Happy Mardi Gras.

Yes Apex does go a little too over the top in explaining and I’m sure that’s why he hasn’t gone further with his public hunting career but I enjoy his stories. I’m glad he post as there are very few posting stories any more. I also enjoy the other guys post being referred to. They are both hunting and fishing public land and working hard to be successful. They are also giving a lot of ideas and info that others can use if they’re willing to work for it. The hogs on public land decimate the deer herd so every hog removed is beneficial to our deer herd. Wildlife and fisheries and feds are going to extreme measures to eradicate them and they are left to rot. So if someone takes a hog and uses it or gives it to someone and it benefits all of us the more the merrier. Please go to your local wma this month and harvest a few pigs, it would definitely help our deer herd. You can also simply pass these articles by if you don’t enjoy reading them but they are informative and entertaining. I do agree with passing the young bucks when you hunt almost everyday but he is within the laws and majority of people on public land will harvest any legal deer.

Wow, sounds like jealousy has reared its ugly head. Has it not occurred to you that he might be giving that meat to friends and family? I for one enjoy Josh articles and look forward to his next one.

Stop reading his articles if you don’t like them. No need to be bashing the guy if you don’t know him. I don’t know him but I read his articles and find them to be enjoyable and informative. Seems like a stand up guy. Give the dude a break, he clearly works hard for all the animals he takes.

Re: Endless Apex Articles
i could not agree more. Congrats on the very average deer killed. Not to mention him telling us the insane volume of them he kills. Then the pigs.... thanks for trying to maintain them for WMA's but the stories arent interesting and who cares if they're cleaned in the woods, in a shed, etc. Who cares it rode in a rental? I by no means support what ppl have done with his tire and corn around his truck but i dont think it's jealousy.... i think it's ppl just over seeing him do things MANY do even though many are successful without having to cover the ground he claims in the over the top stories. His 'racing' gets looped into this site...... no clue why. Then he catches big blue cat....... we literally beat them off our lines in the river when we set and just keep spots. I hunt WMA's only. I could have tagged out but chose to kill 3. And i would have stopped at 2 because that's what i can realistically eat in an off-season BUT I knew an older man who cant hunt anymore and gave him one. The stories often SCREAM 'greed' and 'attention'. But again, just my .02. I know many ppl i work with send me links when they see him and they have similar feelings to say the least.

Re: Endless Apex Articles
how many of those reports can you apply to your personal hunts to be successful? I may be wrong but I dont recall what kind of feed trees he's dialing into or what kind of natural funnels or what kind of conditions he finds preferable. I haven't read anything but 'i cover insane amounts of miles and shoot what i see bc i'm typically trying different types of weapons'

we must be from the same area lol. I grew up with plenty crazy ones and I also know guys with really high success rates but they just keep it to themselves instead of advertising it

and the 'someones jealous', my freezer is full with what i can eat in an offseason, MANY more animals could have died(i refuse to shoot a pig bc i'm not dragging it out)

Dude just let it go, if you don’t want to read his ads don’t read them. Has he ever messed up any of your hunts by covering all kind of area? I’m assuming not, so until then why let it bother you.

I have to admit, I like reading his stories, and I’m A little jealous, cause it reminds me of when I use to do a lot of extreme hunting back in my youth. I wish I could still do some of the stuff this young man does but my days of climbing 30 feet up a tree or hiking in two to three miles in are long behind me so I enjoy reading the extremes he goes to to get his game.

Apparently Josh a very good hunter.

He puts a lot of time in the woods and is lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time on many of his hunts.

Reading his articles and watching his videos i can see he loves the sport as much as I do.

Keep knocking em down Josh!
