30 seconds from the launch and the birds suddenly appeared. Caught over 40 but only 18 were legal size. Most of the throwbacks were right at 12”. There was a fish on just about every other cast. After about an hour the bite stopped, and I slipped off into the marsh to land 4 reds and 1 big ole’ nasty.

Danno23-

Where do you launch when you fish hopedale, dela, and shell beach? Trying to find good spots to launch without a haul of a paddle.

Thanks

Re: Follow The Birds
Hey Fred,
I usually launch at the small park at the end of the road past Campos in Shell Beach. Delacroix, I've only fished a couple times from my yak, once I did a combat launch on the side of the road a couple miles before sweetwater marina, and the other I paid the $10 launch fee at sweetwater (a bit steep I think for a little ol yak, but it's ok). haven't found a combat launch for hopedale and only fished it a couple times from my yak as well so used the marina and paid the launch fee. they were supposed to be putting in a sandy bottom yak launch there, or at least that's what they told me my last time I was there, which has been quite a while (probably 8 months or more).
