Tree Rats Big Branch NWR

Finally got chance to chase some tree rats in one of my favorite spots in Big Branch NWR and saw a few bow hunters who said they had seen a few fox squirrels(awesome sight, indeed)and think I musta put on mosquito attractant vs repellant!!!Did see three tree rats and only had chance at one and dropped her like a parachute on 3rd shot!!This tree rat was a fast-moving target and trusty ole Beretta Extrema that I had professionally water-transfer camo'd did de trick on shot#3.Thought about tagging along ole Beretta Extrema(original version circa 2004)to Delta Waterfowl Banquet next Thursday at Tchefuncta Country Club so folks could see the awesome work expertly done by Rob Roberts Gunsmith in Batesville,Arkansas. She shoots like a dream and with the fine Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades pattern, she blends in and dem wary tree rats never know what put de smack-down on em!!Saw fair amount of deer tracks and might just sneak in during week to try my best to ambush more tree rats, possibly stick nice hog!!

Me, my dad and my son went crabbing out there this weekend. First time I've seen Big Branch. Where is the solid land at? Where do you access it from? We caught couple dozen for lunch and my son drove a boat for the first time. Awesome memories

Couple of places and one popular spot is the non-motorized Pipeline and you can walk the woods and stalk squirrels, hogs, possibly deer or if ya ambitious, drop in pirogue and paddle down Pipeline and tie up on bank and stalk, stalk, stalk some more!!Hope dat helps.
