Steven Borel and wife were back with me on the big Bluewave. Winds were up so we stayed inside and red fished. Our first stop was slow only catching a few. Our second stop we found them stacked up, but most all the reds were over 27 inches. We caught and released for over a hour then went look for smaller reds. Two more stops and we got on a quick run finding a few more that made the box and more bulls. We ended up keeping 8 and no telling how many were released. Always a blast fishing with this couple, thanks again.

After cleaning up after Harvey hit, Capt Travis and I went on a scouting trip. We targeted bass and reds. We kept 6 bass and 3 reds.

With the calm winds and being rested up from the nice vacation Harvey gave us it was time to look for some specks. Capt Labat jumped onboard with me to make a relaxing fun trip. We found birds, shrimp, and trout at every stop. Double rigged Matrix Shad, shrimp creole Matrix under a cork or top water Matrix Mullet all produced. We left fish biting at every stop so we could cover as much area as we could. We kept 35 specks for supper!!

I helped Capt Rob out with the BUMS crew again. Specks were the target and they didn't disappoint. Birds diving on shrimp everywhere and the specks were in hot pursuit. Double rigged Matrix Shad worked best drifting in the current. My guys were smoking them every cast. They kept their 75 fish limit and threw back 100's more. Always a pleasure fishing with this group. Thanks Capt RD for setting it up.

Dove hunting this weekend!! Tight lines out there.
