Another Busy Week of Fishing

Andy Brown was back with me last week Thursday. We found a slow bite all day traveling a lot of water. Over half of our fish came on Minnows, as the plastic bite has slowed down. Roy Sternfells and crew were with me Friday. We had a decent run of fish early on Minnows, then a short run at our second spot. The guys called it a day around 10 with the heat cranking up. Josh Cowart's crew I had scheduled for Saturday decided to beat the heat and crowds and fish Friday night instead. Good choice as we didn't see another boat and caught all our fish on double rigged Matrix Shad. Sunday I had Coach Rodney Guin back onboard. The morning started off slow with high winds. We finally were on a run of good fish and the sky fell on us. We had to run from a huge storm that lasted till around 4pm. I loaded up four of the guys and took them
Red fishing till before dark to make up for the short morning. Perfect conditions but only found a couple reds to bite. Monday morning with Coach Guin's crew found the winds blowing again, so we stayed inside to redfish. Slow again all morning with clean ice. My fourth stop struck gold as my crew were steadily slinging in reds! We went from 0-17 in about 45 minutes. One more stop and we put 18 in the box. Guys were two fish short of their limit, always a pleasure fishing with these guys. Tuesday Charles Allo and crew got their limit of specks on double rigged Matrix. Calm winds and no rain finally had the trout back to normal. Wednesday Cleve Roy and crew were back with me and also experienced a incredible trout Slam all on plastic. We are hoping for another good day today as long as the weather holds out for us.

Big thanks to all the Capt's that worked the overflow boats all week. Without you none of this would be possible, great work as always guys.
