Sweetwater Marina

Another amazing day of fishing out of Sweetwater! Tons of trout brought in from the inside, outside, you name a spot, and they're catching there! Almost all the fish are being caught on live shrimp! Some are catching them on plastic, as well! Today, Capt. jack went out on a charter and came back in with 102 trout, 9 reds and 4 sheepshead! Fishing seems to be getting better everyday! If you like to catch reds, No problem! They are smashing them all over the interior of Delacroix! Not just one spot, but they are catching them literally all over! Some guys have been catching their limit, and then, catching 40 or so more and throwing them back! Delacroix is one of the greatest spots left in our great state with a little interior marsh land left...and it holds a variety of different species of fish...And lots of them! We had 3 or 4 newbys come today and totally destroy the fish! If you don't like to get up early, no problem! Come fish under the birds in the afternoon! However, there are plenty of fish being caught both in the morning and the afternoon! Seems like fishing under the birds goes a little better in the afternoon than the morning hours! We have been having plenty of live shrimp! So, if you feel the urge to come and get on some good speckled trout fishing and have never been to Delacroix, come on down! There are plenty of spots to get to easily, where they are catching loads of fish! If you are a kayaker, launch right here at Sweetwater and be conveniently close to some awesome speckled trout, bass, redfish, black drum, and sheephead fishing! A little bit of everything can be caught near the Marina! However, kayaker launching fee is 10 dollars per kayak! So, beware! Don't come, if you are going to complain about pricing! You can fish 2 hours, 24 or 48...we don't's only 10 dollars...that's a bargain! Good news...if it is a two seater kayak, it is still only ten dollars! So, quit reading about it and get it done! Come on down and experience it for yourself!
