CNN says climate change, rising sea level to blame for loss of marshlands.

No mention of levees preventing replenishment from the Mississippi River, no mention of erosion. Typical fake news. We're trying to draw attention to this problem while CNN places the blame elsewhere. This misinformation obviously hurts our cause.

'Rising seas have swallowed more than 1,800 miles of coastline...'

Pure idiocy. why arent they talking about this other places like Galveston or miami? Because its not an issue. The sea level is not rising, lack of sediment from rivers is causing the marsh to disappear.

From what I've heard, sea level rise is a pretty big concern around Miami, even without the added effects of subsidence...
Here's an article on it if y'all are interested.

The Miami article seems to ignore issues like ground level sinking and erosion. We are generally becoming increasingly aware of progressives pushing man-made climate change as economic opposition to strong American industry. And skepticism about man-made causes vs denying actual climate change are totally different things. Skepticism is healthy.

In general, there are a lot of ways for the 'relative sea level' to change, whether it's erosion/deposition, or tectonic shifting on coastlines. Point is, even where these are known not to be occurring, sea levels are still rising.
