dularge trout and reds

Looks like a great weekend to finally get a little fishing in. Taking the family to dularge on sunday and launching out of jugs. A little help would be appreciated from some of the guides in the area, not looking for specific spots. I was thinking about crossing sister lake and fishing some of the cuts between there and the coast, is that area holding fish yet or should I concentrate a little further in. Have not been yet this year and don't know if they are really transitioning back out yet. Please advise, and thanks in advance

I'd fish Lake Mechant, Bay Long, Mud Lake and Sister Lake/Moncleuse Bay this time of year, if I still fished that area.

Fish were showing up in the lakes last week when it was warm. The last few days with the big drop in water temps and high winds we couldn't fish the lakes. Finding protection and clean water was key. Weather is looking better for the weekend and winds will be somewhat calmer. Fish May between winter spots and spring spots. Finding clean water in protected areas will probably be your best bet, not sure if open water in the lakes will be clean or not. Good luck.

Much appreciated guys! There are a few spots out of bayou grand caillou between the lake and the coast I may start and try to find decent water then just work my way back inland if all fails. Weather looks to be great all weekend. Tight lines to all! Thanks again!
