Amberjack season kicked off in Louisiana Friday May 1 and professional bass angler Gerald Spohrer wasted no time getting after them. In about 300 feet of water using jigs, Spohrer and his crew easily caught their limit. According to Spohrer, there are plenty of Amberjack to be caught and anglers should take full advantage of the open season.
