Dove season second split dates corrected for Elbow Slough WMA

Incorrect dates printed in the 2013-14 Louisiana Hunting Regulations booklet

The dove season dates for the second split of the 2013-14 dove season at Elbow Slough Wildlife Management Area are listed incorrectly in the printed version of the current Louisiana Hunting Regulations booklet.

The correct dates, Oct. 12 to Nov. 10, are listed in the web version of the pamphlet, which can be viewed here. The incorrect dates are listed on page 57 of the booklet.

Elbow Slough WMA dove hunters are reminded that doves can only be hunted on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays from 30 minutes before sunrise to official sunset.

Also, dove hunters are reminded that steel shot is required for hunting on Elbow Slough WMA, which is a small tract consisting of 160 acres located in southeastern Rapides parish near the intersection of U.S. Hwy 1 and LA Hwy 3170.
