Registering a User Account with Louisiana Sportsman will provide access to many features. The process requires a login/password, a valid email address, and a unique id (alias). Once your account is activated, you will be instantly granted priviledges to post Reports/Classifieds with pictures, post Comments, and contact other Users.

The Login/Password are necessary to access your account. The login name must be unique. It can only contain letters (upper or lower case) [a-zA-Z], numbers [0-9], dashes [-], and/or underscores [_]. Once a unique name is registered, the system will automatically log you in. The My Account panel will change showing your login name. If at any time you do not complete registration, just login and check your account status. It will inform you of the steps needed to complete registration. If at any time you encounter a problem, please include your login name with any messages sent to the webmaster.

The Alias name is your public identification. This must be unique to the system and cannot be the same as your login. These are kept separate for security purposes. Any Reports, Ads, Pictures, Comments, Messages, etc. posted through the system will contain your Alias to identify the owner.

After successfully registering a Login, a valid Email Address, and an Alias, you will be sent an email containing instructions about activating your account. This verifies that you have a valid and active email address. The message will give you an Activation Code which must be entered exactly. The system requires that you supply your login name with your Activation Code. If you do not receive your Activation Email, you will be able to send another at your convenience through the My Account home page. On the right side under Options, you can select to "Send Activation Email".
