Though it’s been brutally battered by recent hurricanes, Breton Island still delivers the goods. Capt. Scott Avanzino put his son Kenneth on this healthy stringer of trout there during a recent trip. How do I get to Breton, Central?

The Southwest Canal provides access to some outstanding redfish action this time of year. How do I get to Leeville hotspot?

The pilings supporting the train trestle are closer together, and seem to attract more fish than the other spans. Pontchartrain trestles are heating up

I want to try fishing more close to home in the Slidell area. In particular, I want to try fishing the Twin Spans and Trestle areas. My problem is I don’t know which area to start fishing because there are miles of bridges.

I purchased my first GPS, a Garmin Map 60 CSX. I’ll learn the basics of it, then I’ll purchase some topo software for the coastal marshes of Louisiana and the Southwest Mississippi area.
