The action on the beaches from Grand Isle to Chaland Pass starts in the spring and peaks in the summer. Kit Harbuck caught this 25½-inch speck while wade fishing in the area in June. The lunker fell for a purple/chartreuse Bayou Chub. Chaland Pass action kicks off now
