From News Reports - March 3, 2010 | Reader FormatThe Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be closing Price Lake Road on Rockefeller State Wildlife Refuge on weekdays from March 15 through April 2 to allow for storm-related repair work to the levee road.
The road will be open for public access on weekends.
A primary access roadway for public recreational use of the refuge’s western acreage, Price Lake Road has continued to experience undercutting and erosion since initial damage during Hurricane Ike’s storm sure in September 2008.
