Early Trout
ALMOST LIKE SUMMER FISHING ON THE ISLANDrnrn Fished Friday with a group of guys from North Louisiana. Had two boats running and we put some fish in the box. 71 trout total and six redfish. Done at 1:00 because the same group had a bow trip that night. Trout have shown themselves early this year and it looks like the weather is going to hold and stay warm which means a very good trout year to come.rn Live minnows on the bottom using a carolina rig, and opening night on a 3/8 lead head tight lined. The reds came on a H&H spinner bait.rnrnGot days open for the next month and a half so call and book you trip.rnrnThanks Capt. Frankrn225-202-2584rnfrank@laidbackcharter.com

Oct. fishing NICE
A few pics from the last few fishing trips on Grand Isle.rn The water is right and the weather is great. The fish are starting to show in numbers in the northern bays and marsh. Live bait is still the top choice and the H&H spinner baits are working real well. Southwest canel on the eastside of Leeville was holding a good number of fish this past weekend. Look for birds and you will find the fish.rnrnThanks Capt. Frankrn225-202-2584

FALL FISHING ALMOST IN FULL SWING
Good Morning all.rnrn Grand Isle fishing is some of the best during October. Looks like storms are be held at bay for now, and conditions on and around the Island are getting better every day.rnrn Still using live bait(minnows and crockers)but I have started to introduce artificial bait as well. Martix shad and H&H minnows have had the best results for the past few weekends. Its going to be the color of you choice.rnrn With all that said; I have Oct. 4-5, 24-25-26 open. If you would like to get in on the fall run call me and let know.rnrnThanks Capt. Frankrnrn225-202-2584rnrnwww.frank@laidbackcharter.comrnrnwww.laidbackcharter.com

Back in the Marsh
Windy and muddy water on Sunday. Saturday was a wash for us, no one wanted to get up in the rain to fish including me. Had a great time with the family and friends for Labor Day weekend.
rn Sunday yeilded better weather and all around conditions. Fished in the marshes north of Grand Isle and found trout in Rambo and Palmeadow. Worked several of my regular ponds for reds and found a few in each one. Finished the day with 12 reds and 25 or so trout. Great day all in all.
rn Baits included spinner baits in the ponds and live shrimp and minnows for the trout.

Thanks Capt. Frank

Grand Isle Report
BACK ON THE REDS AGAIN!!!rnrn Had Wayne and Kathy Hadley down from Montana to do some fly fishing in the marsh. It was there first time and the fish did not let them down. Started Saturday north of Grand Isle and it was slow until the sun got high in the sky. Then we hit the ponds and began to site cast a few and blind cast a few. Ended the day with 11 redfish and two trout.rn Sunday was much of the same and ended the day with 8 redfish and no trout.rn They used a purple fly of some kind and the reds could not leave it alone. I was casting a spinner bait (H&H 1/4oz black/chartreuse)and doing pretty good as well. Caught and released a few fish on both days. rn Water is low and the fish are stack in the deeper ponds in the marsh north of the Island.rn NO live bait used this weekend.rn Ive got an opening on Sunday if anyone would like to try there hand at some reds and maybe some trout.rnrnThanks Capt. Frankrn225-202-2584rnfrank@laidbackcharter.comrnrnP.S. Wayne and Kathy are going to post some the pics later I hope.

The Island was Red most of the weekend.
Good Morning everyone.rnrn Started fishing Friday morning with one of my favorite customers, Jason (Speck)and two of his friends Howard and Lester. Made the long boat ride to the east around the S. Point. Got there and the boats out numbered the amount of specks we caught. So we head toward the beach around Bay Long and put a nice box of trout and reds. Total for Friday was 20 trout and three redfish. All came on crockers on a 3/4 oz lead head on the bottom.rn Family came down Friday night to fish the rest of the weekend.rn Saturday started were we stop on Friday. Had my wife and oldest son and three of his friends. Fished hard for most of the day and ended with 26 really nice trout for the fish fry that night.rn Sunday morning rolls around and we are going to find some redfish in the marsh. Myself, Eryc, Miles, Allen, David, and Beef made our way to the redfish grounds and began to catch until we had our limit. 30 redfish in a few hours. Bait are the same as las time. Spinner bait and minnows under a cork about 13-15 inches.rn All in all it was a great weekend with friends and family. rn Still have plenty of days open in the next few week's so give me a call or shoot me an e-mail and book your trip today for a great time on the water.rnrnThanks Capt. ANOTHER RED WEEKEND
Redfish On The Half Shell..rnrn Fished Saturday with Jerry and Lester from Lafayette and Houston. Redfish was the call again because of the weather. We had a small window to make it north to the red grounds and we made without getting wet from the rain.rn Once on the grounds we started with the same baits as the past. Minnows under a cork and spinner baits. Started off slow but picked up as the morning went on. Rain came and went and the reds started to jump in the boat. Finished the day with 15 reds and two trout.rn The area we are fishing is north of the southwest canel and east of the big bays(Rambo, and Oaks). Water has been very clear and we look for grass on the bottom of the ponds. Topwater produced a few fish on Saturday as well.rn rn Lots of weekends and week days open in the coming months. The shrimp are starting to show back up and the trout will be rite behind them. This weekend is looking very good to get back on the open water to find the trout and all there lttle buddies.rn Give me a call and I will make room for y'all on a boat.rnrnThanks Capt. Frankrn225-202-2584
