Swamp Stallion Fishing Adventures is expanding!

Sometimes it is difficult to book multiple trips when I am running by myself or have something planned that day. I am working with Captain Sal Fontana to get my customers out on the water and Captain Sal has been great!

Recently he took out the Yuratich family. Despite the high winds and tough conditions he was able to get them on a good trout bite and nail down some excellent rod bending, drag peeling bull red action! They caught their limit of bull reds and released many more. They also caught 30 gorgeous speckled trout that were in the 2-4lb range.

Good job to Amy and her family for making an excellent catch!

Safely run the Spoil Canal.
Guys, it won't be long before the outside bite starts to heat up and you find yourself fishing spots like the MRGO rocks. One of the fastest routes to get there is the Spoil Canal and you will see that it is difficult to navigate as it is inundated with shallow water areas and underwater obstructions.

Trout chasing Shrimp
This is a video of some trout blowing up shrimp in one of my favorite spots. I like this spot because it's a main artery in the marsh and a lot of water flows through it. On a falling tide, it's not uncommon to have shrimp jumping here. When we arrived, we already had a limit of trout, but it's good to know other places fish are eating up!

Fishing has been great!
The fall will be great fishing, don't waste any time to book your trip!

Fishing has been great this summer, exactly how I thought it would be. Above all, the customers have been great and it has been a blast putting people on fish. I have had a wide variety of people, from older folks to children. All of them have always enjoyed themselves. Some days are better than others, but I can guarantee you that I will always do my best!
