Cowboys and Cajuns Redfish Tournament
Day Two of the Cowboys and Cajuns Redfish Tournament was to pickup from where we left off the day before. Our first stop, which was our best spot from the day before, produced nothing. Made one move and it was on, reds and flounder on double rigs, two at a time, as good as it gets. After catching around forty reds, we decided to leave them biting because they weren’t quite the size we were looking for. Made one more move and it was fish on, once again, every cast but these fish were bigger. We ran out of time and headed to the weigh in with 18.51 pounds, putting us 3rd in the average with 1st place big drum. Thanks again guys for another incredible day on the water.

10-5-12 Cowboys and Cajuns Redfish Tournament
Day one of the Cowboys and Cajuns Redfish Tournament was a success. We came in 1st place with 20.59 with big fish going 8.32. We caught fish all day long from our first stop to our last. Would like to thank Bull Rider D.J. Domangue and the Mattress Firm Group for an incredible day out on the water.

Quick and Easy Limits
Made a second trip this morning with D.J. Domangue, his brother in law and his son. Started at safe light and was back at the launch for 9:30am. Made several stops and found fish at every stop. All fish were caught on plastics, spinner baits, and crank baits. Thanks guys for another great day on the water!~ If you want to catch fish like this just give me a call and I'll put you on them!!

3 Day Smackdown!
Finaly got a break from work so hooked up with some good friends and headed to the camp. From the time we got there, till it was time to go home, it was non stop limits of reds and bass. Even made an offshore trip Friday night and caught a limit of 2-4 pound trout, pitching sand eals with 50 pound power pro inside the rigs, under the light! Most of the reds were caught on cracked crabs, while the others were caught on Red eye shads and pumpkin seed brush hogs when fishing for bass. The trout bite is starting to get slow but the reds and bass are biting like starving Piranhas. Don't let your trip turn into just a redfish trip when the bass are biting just as well!!! Dularge Fishing 7-17-11
Had a great day of fishing with H.E. Evans and his friend, Jimmy from Texas. These guys were down to see what Dularge had to offer. We started the morning slamming nice quality trout. Then finished up in the marsh chasing reds. Around 12:30 we were chased in with thuderstorms all around. All in all, we finished with a very nice box of trout with a few reds, sheephead, and drum in the mix. Thanks guys for the great company and hope to see yall soon! Dularge Reds
Joining me today were Stephen Hosea, his daughter Camille, son Matthew and brother Phillip. Our plan was to hit the Gulf for trout but with the stiff winds we changed our plans. Decided to skip the rough ride with the kids onboard and stay inside to catch some reds! Fresh shrimp carolina rig on bottom was all it took for these kids to have the time of there lives!! Every time we turned our heads, one of them would yell 'I GOT ONE!' These kids are hooked for life! Thanks Hosea's for a great day on the water! Good Luck Fishin'!!

Great Trout Bite 5/7/11
Joining me today were Paul Srigley, his brother Tommy and their cousin David. Every couple years these guys get together, go to their camp in Bayou Decad to have a little fun!! And fun is what they had!! I picked the treo up at 5:15am at the camp and we headed South! One Stop was all it took to reach our limit with nothing less than 20 inches. Nothing but 20 to 24 inch fish hit the deck with doubles and tripples, non-stop! All fish caught on whatever you threw!! Another great day fishing with great company! Good Luck Fishin'!

Offshore Smackdown 5/7/11
Day two with the Denbury Group! Another great day of fishing! Yesterday we fished inside so today we went offshore to try something a little different. First stop produced nothing for about three hours. Was kinda upset for leaving a great bite inside to go way offshore for nothing. Our second stop is wehere things turned around. Double rigs 2 at a time, non stop till the box was full. All fish caught on double rig bayou chubs, slow on bottom. Thanks for the great company guys and Capt. Inshore Smackdown 5/5/11
Day one with the Denbury group was a great one. We stayed inside in Lake Mechant and smashed the trout. First stop produced a little over 30 fish before coming to an end. Our second stop was to work the birds feeding on shrimp. Flock after flock, ten fish here, ten fish there. Slowly got us where we needed to be, loaded with fish! Another limit of trout and didn't have to go offshore to get them. All fish caught on swim baits, slow on bottom. Good Luck Fishin'!

Family Fun 5-1-11
Spent the day in Baton Rouge at my brother John's house for a BBQ! What started out as fun on the swings, slides, sprinkler, and bikes turned into 'fish on'! My brother feeds the fish in his backyard, so a few taps on the wharf and here they come. One after another the girls had the perch coming in. A little worm on a hook was all it took. Trout Bite Remains Strong!! 4-30-11
Capt. Rob Chauvin and Steve Champagne joined me today for another incredible day on the water. Our first stop of the day we only had one bite in 30 min, we started to scratch our heads. Made a move about a 1/4 mile away and it was fish on!!! Once the bite quit , made another move about 100 yards away along a large grass bed and it was fish on again. After about 30 minutes, the bite slowly came to an end, so we called it a day and decided to head in. On the way in there was a large flock of birds diving so we stopped to check it out.... FISH ON AGAIN!! Coming up just shy of our limit with three flounder and two reds, in such tough conditions, we called it quits. All fish caught on tsunami swim shads with a slow retrieve. Another Windy Trout and Red Slam Monday 4-25
Joining me today were Jim Thompson and his son Lance from Oklahoma. After a good night's rest at the Reel Inn Fishing Lodge, we were up early and ready to GO! One stop was all it took to fill the box! Good quality trout coming in two at a time with reds and flounder mixed in. Windy Trout and Red Slam Saturday 4-23
Joining me Saturday were Walt Marcello, his wife and there two boys. As usual, we hunkered down, beat the wind and slammed the fish! Started off slaming the trout with a few flounder mixed in. Once the bite slacked off, we went right to work on the reds. We caught our limit in no time and released another 30 or so. What a Day!
Had a 3 man group today that started at the crack of dawn. Hit the swamp first thing with wood ducks crashing in like no tomorrow. Shortly after all the duck hunting excitement we were off to the trout hole. Fished one area today with a pretty decent bite that slowly filled the box. All fish caught with tsunami swim shads with a real slow retrieve. What a day to spend with great company. Thanks guys and looking forward to next trip.
